Spring-Summer 2019 Collection

Kyoto at dawn

The first rays of dawn emerge, the light imbuing nature with its softest tones, while cherry blossoms caress a lake with their tender buds. The water shimmers and sparkles with an iridescence of soap bubbles and petal clouds. For summer 2019, Laurence Bossion invites us to experience an early morning in Kyoto, without nostalgia or exoticism. Simple shapes and pared-down materials recall the principles of balance that guide Zen aesthetics. Pastel tones - powder, sky, false whites - are sometimes warmed by a fuchsia glow or crossed by a cloud of orange. A graphic bow adorns cloches or capelines, recalling the infinite variations of obi, while the delicacy of a face is transcribed in these nude or pinkish hues, reminiscent of a pure complexion embellished by a bright red or pink mouth. A silver leather detail catches the light and dazzles for a moment, leaving behind the impression of a journey of the senses.
